1. Introduction
Forensic Intelligence PTE LTD ("Forensic Intelligence", "we", "our") operates the Dolos AI application (iOS, web, and desktop), the forensicintelligence.ai website, and related services. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. We are committed to transparency and to never using your data to train AI models.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all Forensic Intelligence services, including the Dolos AI application (available on iOS, web browsers, and desktop), the forensicintelligence.ai public website, and any associated APIs or tools. By using any of these services, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy.
3. Account Data
When you create a Dolos account, we collect your email address and an encrypted password. If you enable biometric authentication (Face ID or Touch ID), a biometric identifier is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. We also store your display name, language preference, timezone, and UI settings.
4. App Data Collection
When you use the Dolos application, we store the following data on our servers to provide the service:
- Chat messages and conversation history
- Uploaded files including images, videos, audio recordings, and documents
- AI-generated responses and tool execution results
- Document embeddings and vector data used for semantic search (RAG)
- User memories and preferences you choose to save
5. Website Data Collection
Our public website is designed to minimize data collection. We do not run advertising trackers or behavioral profiling scripts. Cloudflare services may process technical request metadata for security and content delivery. For contact requests, source IP addresses are retained for up to 30 days via Cloudflare to prevent abuse.
6. iOS Device Permissions
The Dolos iOS application may request access to the following device capabilities. Each permission is optional and requested only when you use the related feature:
- Camera: Used to capture photos for image analysis within chat conversations.
- Microphone: Used for voice input, audio recording, and real-time voice mode conversations.
- Photo Library: Used to select existing photos or videos from your device for analysis or upload.
- Face ID / Touch ID: Used for biometric app lock to protect your account. Biometric data stays on your device.
- Push Notifications: Used to notify you of completed tasks, AI responses, and important updates. You can disable this at any time in iOS Settings.
7. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: provide and improve the Dolos AI service; process your chat messages and generate AI responses; store and retrieve your documents for semantic search; deliver voice transcription and text-to-speech features; process payments and manage subscriptions; send transactional emails and push notifications; prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access; and respond to support requests.
8. AI Processing and Data Training Policy
All AI inference in Dolos runs on Forensic Intelligence's own servers using self-hosted open-source models. Your data is never sent to third parties for model training. We do not use your conversations, documents, files, or any user content to train, fine-tune, or improve AI models. Your data is yours — we process it solely to provide you with the service.
9. End-to-End Encryption
Dolos implements end-to-end encryption (E2EE) using RSA-OAEP-256 for key exchange and AES-256-GCM for message and file encryption. Messages are encrypted on your device before transmission. Files are encrypted at rest and wrapped with secure download tokens. All connections use TLS encryption in transit. Voice streams are encrypted end-to-end during transmission.
10. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to deliver specific features. Data is shared with these services only when you actively use the related feature:
- Cloudflare: CDN, DDoS protection, and DNS for the website and application infrastructure.
- Perplexity API: When you use Internet Search or Deep Research, your search query is sent to Perplexity's API to retrieve results.
- ElevenLabs: When you use premium text-to-speech voices, the text content is sent to ElevenLabs' API for voice synthesis.
- Stripe: Payment processing for subscriptions. No credit card data is stored on our servers — all payment data is handled by Stripe.
- Resend: Transactional email delivery (account verification, security codes), hosted in Ireland for EU data privacy compliance.
- Apple Push Notification Service (APNs): Delivery of push notifications to iOS devices. Only device tokens and notification content are transmitted.
11. Data Storage and Retention
Your data is stored on Forensic Intelligence servers with encrypted storage at rest. Chat messages, files, and documents are retained as long as your account is active. Each user has a configurable storage quota (default 2 GB). When you delete a chat, message, or file, it is permanently removed from our servers and vector databases. Website inquiry data is retained only as long as needed for legitimate business purposes.
12. Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page in the Dolos application. Account deletion permanently removes all your data, including: chat history and messages, uploaded files (images, videos, audio, documents), document embeddings and vector data, saved memories and preferences, device tokens and session data, and payment records. Deletion is immediate and irreversible. If you are a team owner, you must transfer ownership before deleting your account.
13. Push Notifications
Push notifications are optional. If you grant permission, we store your device token to deliver notifications about completed AI tasks, new messages, and system updates. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device's Settings app. Device tokens are automatically removed when you log out or delete your account.
14. Payments and Subscriptions
Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not store, process, or have access to your full credit card number. Stripe handles all payment data in compliance with PCI DSS standards. You can manage, cancel, or update your subscription through the Stripe Customer Portal accessible from your Dolos account settings.
15. Children's Privacy
Dolos is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 16, we will promptly delete the account and all associated data. If you believe a child under 16 has created an account, please contact us immediately.
16. Content Moderation and Reporting
All administrative actions are logged in an audit trail. Users can report inappropriate content or concerns through the in-app support system. We reserve the right to review and take action on reports of misuse, illegal activity, or violations of our Terms of Service. Administrators may suspend or terminate accounts that violate our policies.
17. Legal Basis and Your Rights
As a Singapore-registered company, we comply with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and applicable international privacy laws. You have the right to: access, correct, or delete your personal data; withdraw consent for optional data processing; request a copy of your data; lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority. 18. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, legal requirements, or operating practices change. Material changes will be communicated through the application or by email. Updated versions are published at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
